MOL invests more than 6 million euros in network expansion, reaches 154 gas stations

MOL Romania expanded its country-wide distribution network, adding 7 service stations to reach 154 units with a total investment of more than 6.1 million euro. The new stations are located in the counties of Constanța, Ilfov, Suceava, Timiș, Hunedoara, Iași and Bihor.

Since the beginning of the year, we have opened 11 new service stations in Romania. Expanding nationally and regionally are important for customers, who can benefit from a larger reach within an international player’s network”, said Kinga Daradics, MOL Romania CEO & Country Chairman.

Where are the new units located?

The recently open MOL service station in Cernavodă, Constanța County, is located on 1 Medgidia Blvd, has a total area of 1,700 sqm, including a 45 sqm shop. It has 3 multi-product pumps and is specially designed to serve proximity customers, being the first modern service station in the town with a population of 17,000.

The new MOL service station in Ilfov is located on 20 București Nord road, in Voluntari, in the round-about connecting Pipera and Bucuresti Nord. Its total area is 1,900 sqm, and the unit has an 80 sqm shop and 3 multi-product pumps, one of which has a fast dispenser, for refueling commercial vehicles.

A new unit was opened in Suceava County, in Rădăuți, on Calea Bucovinei, to serve traffic to Suceava and to Câmpulung Moldovenesc. The unit has two multi-product pumps, including a high flow pistol for commercial vehicles. It has a 60 sqm shop, and a total area of 2,390 sqm.

MOL Romania’s 6th service station in Timișoara, and the 8th in the Timiș County, is located at the exit from Timișoara to Lugoj, in Ghiroda Commune, on 86 Calea Lugojului. It can serve motorists as well as heavy traffic to Lugoj-Deva or Lugoj-Craiova, with its three multi-product pumps, which include one high flow nozzle. The total area is 4,000 sqm, including a 80 sqm shop.

With the station in Brad, on 108 Strada Vânătorilor , MOL Romania now has 6 service stations in Hunedoara county. The unit will serve traffic to Deva and to the A1 highway, as drivers will refuel using either of the 2 multi-product pumps. Commercial vehicles will be refuelled by the high flow pump. The station has a 3,043 sqm area, including a 80 sqm shop.

The unit in Miroslava (Iași county) is located on 22, Șoseaua Industriilor, near the ring road of Iași city, a route used for traffic to Târgu Frumos-Botoșani or Târgu Frumos – Bacău. It has an area of 3,000 sqm, a 80 sqm shop and 2 multi-product pumps, one of which has a fast dispenser.
