Minister of Finance Adrian Câciu considers that only through a joint effort of all the factors involved in the development of the capital market can contribute to the financing of domestic companies, including green projects, according to a press release.

“I believe that only through a joint effort of all the factors involved in the development of the capital market can we contribute to the financing of domestic companies, including green projects. In this sense, the Ministry of Finance aims for the next period to create the general framework applicable to the issuance of green bonds at the sovereign level,” said the Minister of Finance.

On Thursday, the Minister of Finance, Adrian Câciu, stressed the need to develop the concrete and real partnership between all the actors in the economy, in order to maintain and increase the potential of the Romanian capital market, through favorable and transparent regulations.

“In complicated situations, such as the current one, the most important thing is to find solutions for a real partnership between the state, citizens, economy and capital so as to identify the causes of vulnerabilities and strengthen the basic elements or pillars on which an economy is built,” said Adrian Câciu.

At the same time, Minister Adrian Câciu mentioned the project “Development of a national strategy for the capital market”, carried out by the Ministry of Finance in partnership with the Financial Supervisory Authority and funded by the European Commission, through the Support Program for Structural Reforms. The project proposes a coherent development of the Romanian capital market and will prepare the framework for the implementation of new European strategies in the field, related to digitalization, sustainable and green financing.
