MET Group, the Swiss-headquartered energy company, announces the appointment of Gergely Szabó as CEO of MET Sales and Trading and Tom Van de Cruys as CEO of MET Retail.
The appointment of Gergely Szabó strengthens MET Group’s integrated business model and enables the company to capitalize on new opportunities in the natural gas, LNG, power and renewable energy markets. Having held several leadership positions within MET Group, most recently as CEO of MET Central Europe, Gergely has almost two decades of experience in the energy sector, including commercial operations and regional development in Europe.
MET Group has formed a new Retail Division to expand its customer portfolio and improve their experience. The CEO of the Retail Division, Tom Van de Cruys, has over 25 years of experience in leadership roles in the energy markets in Europe. He has held senior management positions in Germany, the UK, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland. Tom will focus on expanding MET’s retail presence and strengthening the brand’s visibility in Europe by delivering innovative energy solutions and a superior customer experience.
