Legrand, the global specialist in electrical and digital infrastructure, is launching a new electric vehicle charging station for residential use. The new model, Green’Up One, can be easily installed, quickly charging any electric car with Type 2 connector and Module 3. Furthermore, it has IP54 and IK10 certifications, which means it can be safely placed and used in home garage or in a covered space.

Green’Up One joins the Legrand family of chargers for electric vehicles, Green’Up, which also includes Ensto One Home, also intended for use within the home, but also models for residential complexes, office buildings or commercial spaces. Moreover, Legrand charging stations offer access to IT platforms and applications, which makes them also ideal for the small business/big business sector.

Green’Up One users will enjoy full control without the need for an internet connection, with the product operating via an app that connects via Bluetooth.

In addition, the charging station is equipped with advanced options for users to efficiently manage the charging process. Thus, the charging power can be adjusted, and the device has a dynamic charging management system, which uses an external energy meter to ensure a balanced distribution of consumption.

“Local consumers are increasingly choosing electric vehicles, something that can only make us happy and motivate us to accelerate the implementation of an infrastructure dedicated to them. Green’Up charging stations offer flexible solutions, depending on the space in which they are placed, but also on the type of consumption, but their common denominator is the fact that they transform the charging experience into a simple, fast and intuitive process, regardless of the place where you are,” said Călin Pașcalău, General Manager, Legrand Romania.

Legrand offers its customers, through the Charger Control application, the possibility to manage and monitor the charging station easily. Moreover, the integration of the product into the Home + Control ecosystem allows additional control of the charging station (start or stop, consumption tracking and charging time scheduling).

Last but not least, the installation of the station is extremely simple, without the need for additional accessories: in the place where the station will be mounted, only a suitable AC source is needed, and then a smartphone, to connect with the dedicated application – the installation of the station can be done both on the wall and on the ground. Afterwards, the loading process is intuitive and fast. With a contemporary design, Green’Up One is made of durable and safe materials: for example, the socket has IPXXD protection, being equipped with a safety shutter, according to European Directives and the requirements of electric car manufacturers.

The Green’Up One charging station is available at official Legrand Romania distributors, the product package includes the charging cable, 5 meters long, and the Type 2 plug.

At the moment, there are approximately 40,000 registered electric cars in Romania, and the market is growing steadily from year to year. Along with it, the related charging infrastructure is also developing, which includes thousands of public and private charging stations. Legrand is one of the main suppliers of electric charging stations in Romania, among the company’s advantages are product reliability, integrated innovations, but also the diversity of the local portfolio, suitable for any kind of space – individual, residential or commercial complex.
