Top representatives from Atlas Copco, CMS Cameron McKenna and Vestas Romania participate as speakers at the Energy Breakfast Club edition at the seaside!

On Wednesday, June 11th, from 9 A.M., energynomics.ro proposes a new informal meeting for you to discuss with your colleagues and partners on the energy projects Romania envisions altogether with its best friend: the Black Sea!

Cătălina Dragomir, Managing Director at Vestas CEU Romania, will present Vestas position on the current context for the renewable sector as well as the company’s perspective on the future of the wind industry. Vestas is the largest wind turbine manufacturer in Europe, and last year reached a turnover of approximately 204 million euro in Romania.

Varinia Radu is a Partner in the global CMS energy team, with over 12 years’ experience as an adviser on projects and transactions in the oil&gas, electricity and mineral resources sectors in Romania and beyond. Varinia Radu will present a snapshot of the current activity in the oil and gas exploration in the Black Sea and the relevant legal framework, both Romanian and European, as well as some of the hot topics in the marketplace, such as a potential new taxation regime, gas price deregulation and geopolitical context which will shape up the investor’s behaviour in the offshore in the upcoming years.

Marius Cristescu, Rental Manager for Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia, will present Atlas Copco’s solutions for the offshore industry: Compressed air & OEM Solutions, On Site Generators, Submersible pumps etc. Atlas Copco is the global market leader in renting equipments to the energy sector, the general industry, mining and drilling.

Dozens of professionals in the energy sector already confirmed their participation, so there will be present representatives of many companies active at the Black Sea. These are some of the companies: SGS România, Vestas România, Rompetrol Rafinare, Monsson, ICPE SA, Siveco, Inov Electric, Sterling Resources, Marsh România, Liebherr România, Flash Lighting Services, Soroment.

There will be present a representative of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Romania as well as high profile officials from the relevant regulatory agencies (NAMR, ANRE, Minister for Environment).

Conventional energy production is more and more constrained by factors of space availability, reserves and costs. This, joined with technology’s advances, make the energy exploitation of the offshore resources more and more practical. Romania has great potential both in hydrocarbons and in renewables sector.

About the event

Energy Breakfast Club is a meeting of 2 to 3 hours where energy specialists have the opportunity to keep themselves up to date with the latest information and the most influential views on one the hot topics of the moment.

As a host, energynomics.ro will provide – from 09.00 AM – the MC and the coffee, will propose the theme and will launch the invitations for the speakers. They are selected accoordingly with their best knowledge of the topic and are responsible for organizing ideas and stimulating intellectual challenges. Presentations will not exceed 45 minutes and are intended to be starting points for a dynamic exchange of ideas and perspectives.

The club closes at 12.
