The Environmental Fund Authority (AFM) is still collecting applications from solar panel installers for small green energy producers (prosumers), and, according to market sources, could relax some of the conditions required for them to be validated – such as the existence of similar works in the company’s portfolio. And the registration period could be extended, Andrei Iorgulescu, Director, Directorate General for Projects, Environmental Fund Administration, told energynomics.ro.

“We are in the process of validating the installers. The validation session has not yet ended, and we may extend the session.

We do not have a valid list yet, because we only want to publish the list of validates so they can all have access to the market at the same time – not create benefits for some. In April we will have something concrete”, Iorgulescu said.

The Regional Operational Program will finance prosumer’s investments by 115 million euro.

At the same time, the AFM will make available to small photovoltaic green energy producers (prosumatori) a buffer for the financing of projects.
