The high voltage station in Bradu, near Pitesti, is being upgraded under a project worth 29 million euros led by Romelectro.

“We need new lines, modern, and a 400 KV ring system which would ensure continuity in any emergency. The upgrading of Bradu near Pitesti plant will be completed in July 2018”, the Romelectro officials said.
Transelectrica’s Bradu station is an important hub for connecting with national system and power lines throughout the country.

Among equipment vendors are Electroputere, Automatica and Hyosung from South Korea.

The 400/220/110/20 kV substation Bradu is located in Arges county.

Romelectro will begin next summer the construction of Romgaz natural gas power plant in Iernut, together with Spanish company Duro Felguera. The thermal power plant will be completed and operational at the end of 2019, says the general manager of Romelectro, Cristian Secoşan. He added that the project in Iernut will account for up to 50% of the company’s business in 2018.
