Hirschmann invests over 5 mln. euro in two solar parks at its Mureș factories

The auto parts manufacturer Hirschmann Automotive will invest around 5.3 million euro in two solar parks built in the premises of its two production units in Mureș.

Thus, on February 15, 2024, the Austrian company launched two public tenders, through bid selection, with an estimated cumulative value of 26,511,867 lei (approximately 5.3 million euros), excluding VAT, according to Transilvania Business.

The purpose of the tenders is “the purchase of design services, supply, installation of equipment and construction works of two capacities for the production of electricity from renewable sources of solar energy – photovoltaic power plant, including maintenance” in the premises of the factory in the town of Sânpaul (with a estimated value of 20,977,117 lei, excluding VAT), respectively in the premises of the factory in Chirileu (with an estimated value of 5,534,750 lei, excluding VAT).

The two investments are financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan – Pillar I. Green transition – Component C6 – Investment measure: Investment I.1 – New electricity production capacities from renewable sources – Supporting investments in new production capacities of electricity from renewable energy sources, wind and solar, with or without integrated storage facilities.

The largest solar park, from Sânpaul, will have a capacity of 3.7 MW, and the one from Chirileu, about 0.9 MW.

The deadline for submitting offers is March 6, 2024, and the award criterion will be the best value for money.
