Gazprom Export, a fully-owned subsidiary of Russia’s state-owned gas group Gazprom, said it signed a contract for natural gas supplies to Croatia with local company Prvo Plinarsko Drustvo (PPD) for the period October 1, 2017 – December 31, 2027. The annual supply volume will amount to 1 billion cubic metres, and 250 million cubic meters are to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2017, Gazprom Export said in a statement quoted by Seenews.

“Signing a long-term contract on gas supplies to Croatia is a result of a fruitful cooperation of Gazprom Export and of PPD. I am sure that this important step will strengthen the mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries in the energy sphere”, Elena Burmistrova, director general of Gazprom Export, said in the statement.

The cooperation with a strong and reliable partner provides the Croatian market with secure and reliable supply, the president of PPD, Pavao Vujnovac, said. The new contract follows the agreement between Gazprom Export and PPD for the supply of up to 1.48 billion cubic metres of natural gas in the first three quarters of 2017.
