Gas imports fell by 22%, oil imports by 31%, in the first 11 months of 2022

Romania imported, in the first 11 months of 2022, a quantity of usable natural gas of over 1.958 million tons of oil equivalent (toe), 21.9% (-550,500 toe) less than last year‘s similar period, according to data centralized by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

The domestic production of natural gas was, in the mentioned period, almost 6.467 million toe, with 2% (131,600 toe) below that of the first 11 months of 2021, according to Agerpres.

At the same time, crude oil imports rose, in the January-November 2022 period, to 8.056 million toe, being 1.925 million toe (31.4%) above those recorded in the same period of the previous year.

Romania produced, in the first 11 months of 2022, a quantity of crude oil of over 2.676 million tons of oil equivalent (toe), 171,900 toe (-6%) lower than that produced in the similar period of 2021, according to centralized data by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
