The future will be electrification and digital because these two elements are inseparable, and the goal of this energy transition towards non-polluting energies must be to increase the benefits for society, said Gabriel Tache, Country Sales Manager at Eaton Romania, at the 9th edition of the Energy Strategy Summit, an event organized by Energynomics.

“The future will be electrification and digital, and we are ready to support this transition of people to a digital and electric world, especially since one of the capabilities of man is to adapt. That’s what made us evolve. The digitization part is seen at the level of government and private companies. Digitization without electrification does not work and we must make a transition as smooth as possible and with benefits for society”, said Tache.

Eaton and Gardner conducted a study according to which 3% of the companies surveyed do not yet have a digital strategy, 47% of them plan to apply such a model in the future and have already implemented such an approach.

Because when talking about measures to reduce energy consumption, pressure is also put on the equipment manufacturer, digitization must be carried out with equipment that ensures the most efficient energy consumption. Considering the changes in the market and the fact that, worldwide, “there are many things for which we are not yet ready”.

According to estimates, the need for electricity will increase by more than 27% by 2030, which puts a lot of pressure on green energy generation. As a result of the increase in the share of renewable energy, Eaton proposes an energy storage solution in UPSs to be used during consumption peaks, with a direct impact on the profitability of companies.

Eaton Corp.’s profits rose 19.7% in the first quarter of 2023 due to the company’s better-than-expected sales growth to $638 million, compared to a profit of $533 million in the same period last year. The company’s sales totaled $5.5 billion, up 13 percent from the first quarter of 2022, the statement said.
