Market Playbook in Energy
12 Feb 2026 @ 15:00 - 18:00
On Thursday, 12 February 2026, from 14.30, Energynomics and is partners organise our second workshop bringing together developers, investors, traders, and advisors to explore how renewable energy projects can make the best commercial sense in today’s rapidly changing market.
This structured debate will examine the routes from generation to revenue, from long term PPAs and CfDs to merchant strategies, balancing services, and cross border trading opportunities. Participants will engage in practical discussions on structuring bankable contracts, mitigating risks, and optimizing market access for RES projects.
Designed as a collaborative and forward looking platform, the workshop will connect market makers and innovators, offering actionable insights into how to turn renewable capacity into sustainable business value.
Attendance is by invitation only; please ensure you have received confirmation.
Context
Romania’s renewable energy market is entering a phase where installed capacity alone no longer defines success. As new wind and solar projects come online, almost always supported by BESS, the challenge has shifted downstream: how assets are contracted, exposed to market signals, and monetized in an increasingly complex and volatile environment. Price volatility, evolving support schemes, grid congestion, and changing cross-border dynamics are forcing project sponsors and financiers to rethink assumptions about bankability and risk allocation.
This workshop starts from a clear premise: there is no single “right” route from generation to revenue. Long-term PPAs and CfDs remain essential anchors, but merchant strategies, balancing services, and regional trading opportunities are becoming integral to the commercial equation. Navigating this landscape requires not only technical expertise, but a shared understanding between developers, investors, traders, and advisors of how value is created — and where it can be lost.
We are convening a practitioner-driven discussion bringing together market participants who actively structure, finance, trade, and advise renewable energy projects. The goal is not to promote a single model, but to examine the trade-offs between commercial strategies, the real constraints faced by financiers, and the logic guiding market decisions, grounded in concrete examples rather than theory.
More than a debate, the Market Playbook for Energy is a collaborative platform where assumptions can be tested, risk perceptions aligned, and actionable insights exchanged. Participants will leave with a clearer framework for choosing — and combining — the market routes that best fit their projects.
