London: Capital, Infrastructure, and Energy Security

10 Feb 2026 @ 14:00 - 20:00

On Tuesday, February 10, from 2 PM, local time, at 1 Belgrave Square, SW1X 8PH, London, Energynomics organises its first meeting this year outside Romania. The B2B conference, in in-person format, is designed to bring together Romanian experts and decision-makers in the energy industry with their counterparts in the host city to facilitate an exchange of ideas and future business co-operation.

Energynomics returns in 2026 with a sharper focus on execution, infrastructure, and energy security. This second edition reflects a changing European context, where energy policy, capital allocation, digital demand and security considerations increasingly converge. Building on the strong interest shown by UK-based investors and institutions, the 2026 dialogue will explore how Romania can move from being an emerging opportunity to a fully integrated energy and infrastructure hub at the EU’s eastern frontier.

The event will convene financial institutions, private equity funds, infrastructure investors, technology providers and policymakers to examine concrete investment pathways across power generation, grids, storage, gas, nuclear, and energy-intensive digital infrastructure.

ARGUMENT

The 2025 edition established Romania as a credible and attractive energy investment destination. The 2026 edition goes one step further: it addresses how scale is delivered, how risks are managed, and how energy assets become strategic infrastructure. Three shifts define the new context.

First, energy security has become inseparable from national and regional security, elevating infrastructure resilience, interconnections and domestic supply.

Second, new demand drivers, notably data centers and digital infrastructure, are reshaping power markets and investment logic.

Third, capital is becoming more selective, prioritizing jurisdictions that combine resources, regulatory clarity, and geopolitical relevance.

Romania sits at the intersection of these trends. With access to EU funding, domestic incentives, Black Sea gas, nuclear ambitions and growing renewable capacity, it offers UK investors a rare combination of scale, proximity, and strategic relevance.

GOAL

The conversation on February 10 is meant to connect UK-based financial institutions, private equity firms, and energy companies with Romanian energy stakeholders, fostering investment opportunities and long-term collaborations.

The focus will be on Romania’s green energy transition, infrastructure development, and regional energy security. The event will highlight Romania’s strategic role as an energy hub in Southeast Europe and the mutual benefits of UK investment.
