Eurowind Energy Romania announces the receipt of Establishment Authorizations from the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) and the start of construction works for the Frumușița, Vector and Pecineaga Nord-Est wind farms. Together, they will add 138 MW of clean energy to the grid and will be equipped with 23 state-of-the-art turbines supplied by Vestas.

The projects are important not only for their size, but also because they mark a new stage in wind development at the national level. It is a step that reflects the consistency of energy policies in recent years, and we want this direction to continue, to support long-term investments and Romania’s energy transition”, says Adrian Dobre, Country Manager Eurowind Energy Romania.
The Frumușița Wind Park (Frumușița commune, Galați county) will have an installed capacity of 66 MW, with 11 turbines. The Vector Wind Farm (Frumușița commune, Galați county) will have an installed capacity of 24 MW and 4 turbines. Last but not least, the Pecineaga Nord-Est Wind Farm in Pecineaga commune, Constanța county will have an installed capacity of 48 MW and 8 turbines.
The delivery of the Vestas V162-6.2 MW turbines is planned for the second half of 2026, and the commissioning of the farms is estimated for 2027. Long-term maintenance will be ensured through a 20-year service contract.
Active on the local market since 2011, the company Eurowind Energy Romania develops and operates renewable energy projects, with a dedicated local team. The company’s portfolio includes four operational solar farms – Hălchiu, Măgurele, Pufești and Teiuș -, one wind farm – Pecineaga and a pipeline of approximately 7.5 GW in various stages of development. The company operates 184 MW in Romania, including 60MW of battery storage in Teiuș.
