Enexus announces the launch of the Black Sea Energy Cooperation Association (BESCA), a new association based in Bucharest that is starting its activity in Romania as a cooperation platform for investors, developers, and experts involved in renewable energy projects in the Black Sea region. The initiative comes at a time of intensified activity in the regional energy sector.

According to a press release, BESCA was established on the initiative of Enexus, a company active in the development, execution, and management of renewable energy projects, and is designed as an open platform for investors, project developers, technology providers, consultants, and energy experts.

Mesut Güler, CEO of Enexus and President of BESCA

According to its founders, BESCA aims to bring together, in an organized format, investment communities that are becoming increasingly present on the local market. “We aim to bring together Turkish investors in Romania, who are becoming increasingly active, as well as other Romanian and international companies in the energy sector in the Black Sea region,” says Mesut Güler, CEO of Enexus and president of BESCA.

The stated objective is to create a framework for collaboration that supports the acceleration of renewable projects and connects relevant actors in the Black Sea region, starting with an axis already considered very dynamic: Romania–Turkey.

Mesut Güler emphasizes the association’s role as a coordination tool: “BESCA provides a structured framework that facilitates cooperation and accelerates renewable energy projects at the regional level, strengthening Romania’s role as a gateway market for renewable energy.

In the press release, Romania is considered a key market in BESCA’s mission, given its access to the European Union market, its networking opportunities, and the existence of a broad portfolio of fundable projects, all of which increase the country’s attractiveness to regional investors.

The association invites companies, institutions, and representatives of academia that are active or interested in renewable energy, energy storage, network infrastructure, and clean technologies in Romania and the Black Sea region to join.

More details are available on the association’s official website.
