Energynomics is strengthening its analytical and research capabilities to give energy professionals sharper insights into the Romanian market and the broader Central and Eastern European region. We are now seeking a Junior Researcher in Energy Policy and Markets — a dynamic role with a direct impact on how our business community identifies and capitalizes on opportunities across the sector.
In this position, you will contribute to sector studies, market guides, syntheses, and editorial content that support the strategic decisions of energy companies. Your day-to-day work will involve collecting and analyzing data from official sources such as ANRE, Transelectrica, and the Ministry of Energy, maintaining and updating our internal database, mapping company connections, and liaising with partners to obtain up-to-date information. Your research will directly feed into flagship Energynomics projects such as the PV Monitor, as well as other high-profile editorial and analytical initiatives.
We are looking for candidates with (ongoing or completed) university studies in economics, political science, energy, sociology, engineering, or related disciplines, combined with a genuine interest in the energy sector and public policy. Experience in research or data analysis, strong skills in Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and online documentation tools, as well as the ability to communicate clearly in both Romanian and English, will be highly valued.
This role offers international exposure, access to an extensive partner network, participation in industry events and conferences, and flexibility in working arrangements, including remote options. We provide a professional environment that values initiative, fosters continuous learning, and supports personal growth.
At Energynomics, we believe in the power of accurate data and rigorous analysis to connect companies, institutions, and sustainable energy solutions. If you are ready to be part of a project that matters, apply via LinkedIn or send your CV to [email protected], along with a brief note on what caught your attention in this announcement and how you believe you can contribute to our mission.
