Energy regulatory bodies of Romania and the Republic of Moldova signed a new action plan

An official delegation of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), led by the president of the institution, Dumitru Chiriță, paid a working visit to the National Energy Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Moldova in Chisinau, between January 26-28, 2023 , ANRE announced on Monday.

During the visit, Dumitru Chiriță and Veaceslav Untila, general director, signed the Action Plan for 2023 between the two institutions in accordance with the Cooperation and Assistance Program, signed on September 26, 2019.

In this context, between February and December 2023, mutual working visits and online meetings with specialists from the regulatory authorities will be organized.

“The subjects of the meetings will mainly concern aspects related to the monitoring and reporting of the quality of electricity and natural gas transmission and distribution services provided by the system operators, as well as the exchange of information regarding the publication of privileged information and the prohibition of market manipulation of energy”, the press release states.

According to the cited source, the action plan will contribute to boosting the exchange of information and consultations on topics related to the implementation of the European Union’s acquis communautaire by the National Agency for Energy Regulation of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the adoption of the best regulatory practices.
