German company EMZ, based in Nabburg, Bavaria, has decided to set up a new production unit in Resita. The investment project of the Bavarian company, worth about 5 million euro, brings the city, in a first phase, between 50 and 100 new jobs, respectively 500 jobs in perspective, according to AHK Romania.

”At the same time, it means another important local business partner, which in the future wants to collaborate closely with the UBB University Center in Reșița. Production will start in the fall of 2022,” say the officials of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce, AHK Romania.

EMZ, a German manufacturer of household and environmental technology products, is building a production unit with an area of approximately 3,000 square meters in the city’s industrial park.

“We chose Romania, more precisely Resita, based on several factors, after analyzing different investment locations. One of the factors was certainly the support provided by the local administration. But, above all, the very professional, objective and reliable support from the AHK team helped us a lot in the decision-making process,” says Veit Schmucker, operations manager and project manager of EMZ.

The AHK Romania team, which has closely supported many German investment projects in the past and collaborated with local administrations, relying on mutual trust, has many years of experience in supporting German companies’ investment projects in Romania.

“Through our consulting activity offered to German investors, we have significantly contributed to the creation of thousands of new jobs in Romania in recent years. German companies have a total of over 250,000 employees in Romania. The bilateral economic relations are very intense, and AHK Romania demonstrates, through its numerous activities and consulting services, that it is the central engine for the further development of bilateral economic relations,” said the general director of AHK, Sebastian Metz.
