Electromontaj is expanding its construction and project management teams to support an active portfolio of over 200 projects in Romania and international markets. The recruitment campaign targets electricians, workers at height and specialists in coordinating and managing construction work, according to a press release issued on 5 November 2026.

The company states that four projects in its portfolio are of national importance. The team expansion aims to support work at various stages of implementation, as well as international development plans.

“Electromontaj today is a united workforce of over 1,500 professionals, spread across our locations in București, Pitești, Craiova, Bacău and the recently reopened branch in Iași, as well as our international teams in Cyprus, Poland and the Netherlands,” says Dana Preda, HR Director at Electromontaj.

Alongside recruitment, the company invests in vocational training through its own training school, PRO ELM. According to Electromontaj, the school is authorised by the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Education and has been organising specialised courses for electricians for over 14 years.

Among its recent works, Electromontaj mentions the installation of the first two STATCOM units in Romania’s electricity transmission network, at the Sibiu Sud and Bradu substations, as well as the connection of the 460 MW Vifor photovoltaic power plant to the national power system. The international portfolio also includes the company’s first project in Finland, a 66 km double-circuit overhead power line at 400 and 110 kV.

Projects presented for the coming period include the refurbishment of the Vidraru hydropower plant, the transformation of the Alba Iulia substation into a fully digital substation and the construction of the 400 kV Gădălin-Suceava overhead power line.
