Electrica Furnizare (EFSA) bought last week 87.6 GWh of electricity from Nuclearelectrica, at a price of 246.29 lei/MWh (about 50.5 euro/MWh), with delivery in 2021, according to a contract made on PCCB (centralized market for bilateral contracts), shows OPCOM data and the EFSA report presented to the Stock Exchange.

The value of the transaction was of about 21.56 million lei.

The price offered reflects an increase of almost 11% (10.94%) compared to the average spot market price calculated by OPCOM for September 2020 of about 222 lei/MWh, and is about 1.2% lower than the weighted average price from similar contracts, concluded on the PCCB-LE-Flex segment, in September.

The transaction was reported to shareholders because, cumulated with other transactions made in the last year, it exceeds the threshold of 5% of Electrica’s net assets for 2019.
