The program will provide support of up to 100,000 euro to SMEs that want to install photovoltaic panels or charging stations for electric vehicles.

“Within the National Investment and Economic Recovery Plan ‘Rebuilding România’, a program was included to support small and medium enterprises in terms of financing investments by these companies in renewable energy sources. Thus, the Ministry of Economy proposed in first reading in this Government meeting an emergency ordinance for the approval of the Electric-Up Program. It is about a financing scheme for investments made by SMEs for their endowment, for the purchase, installation of equipment for the production of electricity through photovoltaic panels, as well as for the purchase of charging stations for electric vehicles. The maximum value of the support is of 100,000 euro, within this program, and the scheme benefits from a budget of 200 million euro,” Dancă explained, at the end of the Government meeting.

He also said that the Ministry of Economy has initiated a Government decision to cover the losses suffered by the Hunedoara Energy Complex as a result of the floods. “We are talking about an aid amounting to 7.2 million lei from the Government Reserve Fund,” said Dancă, who specified that the money will be used to carry out the necessary works to remove the effects of these floods.
