The representatives of Sierra Quadrant, judicial administrator of ELCEN, say that the City Hall of the Capital is delaying the takeover of RADET by the company Termoenergetica and sacrifices ELCEN so as to provide the thermal agent “on debt”. They point out that gas can be stopped at any time.

“More than two months after the establishment of the municipal company Termoenergetica, the City Hall of Bucharest (PMB) has not made any substantive requests regarding the takeover of the RADET activity by the new company, despite the repeated calls that ELCEN transmitted to the authorities ”, is shown in a statement sent by Sierra Quadrant, the judicial administrator of Electrocentrale Bucureşti (ELCEN), according to zf.ro.

According to the quoted source, this delay of the City Hall would aim to keep ELCEN in a position of “captive supplier” for RADET, a bankrupt company that accumulates debts, affecting also the economic situation of ELCEN, an entity in the process of reorganization.

“The acquisition of the thermal energy transport and distribution service from RADET by Termoenergetica would oblige PMB to ensure the capitalization of the new company and the payment of the up-to-date subsidy, so that it will fulfill its payment obligations to the suppliers, respectively to ELCEN. The strategy of the mayor of the capital, Mrs. Gabriela Firea, to sacrifice ELCEN, relying on the fact that it will continue to deliver the heat agent to RADET ’on debt’, is a choice not only uninspired, but extremely dangerous for citizens,” the source said.
