E.ON Energie Romania already has more than 860,000 customers in the energy solutions and services segment, the company announced in a press release, and is targeting 1 million customers by the end of the year. Of its existing customers, 100,000 have chosen energy solutions for heating and cooling their homes with thermal centres or heat pumps, photovoltaic systems for the production of green energy, and charging stations for electric cars.

Around 60% have chosen the condensing central heating solution (E.ON Life), which is 108% efficient and can save up to 30% on energy consumption under certain conditions of use. Last year, for example, the company installed, on average, around 23 central heating units per day.

“We have definitively moved beyond the time when E.ON Energie Romania was just a natural gas and electricity supplier,” says Claudia Griech, CEO of E.ON Energie Romania.

At the same time, cooling solutions with Inverter technology air conditioners (E.ON Cool), which consume up to 33% less electricity than conventional air conditioners, are popular among the company’s customers, with around 30,000 of them opting for this solution in the last four years. Last year, demand for the company’s cooling solutions increased by more than 50 per cent compared to 2023, with an average of 25 units installed daily.

The company announces that more than 4,700 customers have chosen E.ON’s solutions and installation services to produce their own energy, a new record for PV (E.ON Solar Home) installations. Last year, the company’s specialists installed 3,600 systems, ten per day and nine times more than in 2023, successfully covering all customers with a validated AFM (Environmental Fund Administration) dossier who selected E.ON in the 2023 session.

The e-mobility segment is also growing, with the company installing more than 120 charging points for public and private electric cars last year, exceeding the 560 units installed so far in Romania. While before 2020, on average between 20 and 30 charging points for electric cars were installed annually, the pace has since increased to more than 100, i.e. about 4-5 times more.

In the technical services area (E.ON ServExpres), the company won 160,000 new customers last year. At present, 760,000 customers benefit from service packages including mandatory periodic technical checks, maintenance and emergency interventions for gas and electricity plants, air conditioning equipment and photovoltaic systems, all provided by E.ON specialists.
