E.ON Energie Romania recorded significant growth in the energy solutions segment in the first half of 2025, exceeding the threshold of 100,000 customers who chose modern and efficient solutions for their homes or businesses.

Over 10,000 new customers chose, during the mentioned period, solutions such as thermal power plants, heat pumps, photovoltaic systems or charging stations for electric vehicles.

At the same time, Romanians in urban areas and neighboring rural areas declare that they have, on average, five energy efficiency solutions in their household and intend to purchase, on average, two more in the next year, which indicates a constant concern for increasing comfort and reducing energy consumption in the home. For example, 22% intend to purchase an air conditioner, 17% plan to purchase photovoltaic panels, 12% want to invest in batteries for energy storage, 9% are interested in smart home systems, and 6% are aiming to purchase a heat pump. These data come from a study conducted in June 2025, on a sample of 1,000 people from urban and rural areas, by the company E.ON Energie România.

“The results from the first part of the year consolidate E.ON’s position as a leader in providing turnkey energy solutions. We want to offer customers exactly what they need to reduce their energy consumption and costs. We continue to develop smart products and services, addressed to both households, companies and municipalities,” said Claudia Griech, general manager of E.ON Energie România.

E.ON data also reveals that over 63,000 families heat their homes with gas condensing boilers that have an efficiency of 108% and can bring savings on consumption of up to 30%, under certain conditions of use. For example, the company installed, on average, 17 boilers per day in the first half of this year.

At the same time, 33,000 families benefit from thermal comfort on hot days thanks to the cooling solutions offered by the company. The number of air conditioners installed in the first semester reached over 3,580, representing an average of 20 units per day, but there were also days when even 60 units were installed.

Over 7,000 families are already using E.ON’s turnkey green energy solutions, with around 2,270 photovoltaic systems for residential customers installed this year, up 13% year-on-year, with the pace of installations reaching peaks of 40 per day in recent times.

Progress has also been made on the e-mobility front, with the company reaching the 600-point mark for private charging points installed at customers in Romania. At the same time, the E.ON Drive mobile app has exceeded 2,000 public charging points accessible to electric vehicle owners in Romania.
