The employees of the E.ON companies in Romania have decided to get directly involved in a fundraising campaign through which they want to contribute to the efforts of equipping the medical units with specific protective and medical equipment. They thus want to have a direct contribution in supporting the units, trying to inspire other Romanians to follow their example.

At the same time, the amounts collected will be doubled by the company.

“I am very proud and excited about the initiative of our colleagues. They show us that solidarity is very important in these times. Little by little, together we can do more for those in the front line, trying to protect our health and lives. Each gesture matters and, therefore, we decided to double the amount gathered by employees, besides the donations we have already announced,” says Manfred Paasch, general manager of E.ON Romania.

During this period, the initiatives of the E.ON companies in Romania are focused primarily on supporting the extraordinary efforts of hospitals and medical personnel. Thus, E.ON contributed financially to the purchase of a complete COVID-19 virus testing equipment, by Mureș County Clinical Hospital, which can process dozens of samples simultaneously, reducing the diagnose time.

At the same time, E.ON Romania will direct to hospitals another 500,000 lei, the purpose of this endeavor being to ensure adequate conditions for rapid intervention and treatment of as many cases of infection as possible.
