The companies of the E.ON group in Romania donate 250,000 euro to the Romanian Red Cross in order to contribute to the purchase of various goods and materials necessary to help the refugees from Ukraine.

The money will be used by the Red Cross to purchase beds, mattresses, blankets, non-perishable food, water, medicine, electric charging stations for phones and other things needed to cover immediate needs.

This donation is a first aid, but E.ON companies will continue their efforts to identify suitable places for the accommodation of refugees and will provide support for their transport, from the border to shelters.

The company also works directly with the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) and the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (I.G.S.U.) to help as many people as possible cross the border in these difficult times.

According to official information, so far more than 100,000 Ukrainians, mostly women and children, have entered Romania, and estimates show that the number of refugees will increase to several tens of thousands a day in the next period.
