The companies Berg Sistem Gaz, Premier Energy, Delgaz and Electrica are called to provide support to connect the localities in the county that do not have access to utilities, given that two thirds of Maramureș is in this situation.

The executive of the County Council (CJ) had a working meeting with Dumitru Chiriță, the president of the National Energy Regulatory Authority, Eugen Cozma, the vice-president of the National

Agency for Environmental Protection, Sorin Bulagea, general director of Berg Sistem Gaz, as well as representatives of the Premier Energy, Delgaz Grid and Electrica, according to transilvaniabusiness.ro.

Mayors of Maramureș and the deputies Călin Bota and Gheorghe Șimon attended. For the development of electricity and natural gas networks, it will be necessary to strengthen strategic partnerships of the CJ with the mayoralties in order to find the best solutions to connect to utilities.

“Only 36% of the county’s population benefits from natural gas and, unfortunately, in 2021 we have localities in Maramureș where the citizens do not have access to electricity. I want to collaborate as efficiently as possible with the town halls in the county, and together to find specific solutions for each area.

”We need concrete projects to find the best possible sources of financing and I am confident that we can develop at another level the field of distribution of gas and electricity networks in Maramureș,” said Ionel Bogdan, president of the CJ.
