Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania (DEER), the largest national electricity distribution operator, continues, in the 2026–2027 school year, the partnerships concluded with 14 educational institutions to support dual education and the professional training of young people for qualifications in the energy field.

This school year, 119 students in grades 9-10 join the 206 students in grades 10-11 who continue their training in partner educational institutions. In total, 325 students are included in the dual education programs supported by DEER. Students are preparing within the educational institutions for the following qualifications: electrician operating low-voltage networks; electrician protecting relays, automation and measurements in energy installations; electrician operating power plants, stations and electrical networks; electrician of electrical and energy devices and equipment; electrician construction; electrician photovoltaic systems.

Within the framework of the partnerships, DEER offers students the opportunity to carry out internships within the company, under the guidance of specialists. For practical activities, the company provides individual work and protective equipment, as well as the materials, tools and resources necessary to carry them out in appropriate conditions. DEER also supports the performance of students involved in the program. Students with very good results benefit from scholarships awarded based on performance, as a form of encouragement for involvement and results obtained during professional training.

From 2019 to the present, approximately 1,300 students have benefited from dual education programs supported by DEER. After obtaining the qualification for the electrician profession, graduates may have the opportunity to continue their professional career within the company. “We wish all students much success in the new school year, to be curious, involved and to discover an interesting and challenging profession. Through internships, they have the opportunity to get to know the activity firsthand and learn alongside our specialists. We look forward to them, after graduation, taking the experience they have gained and joining the DEER team, a team with over 6,300 specialists,” said the DEER representatives, present at the opening festivities of the new school year. Through these partnerships, DEER contributes to introducing students to the professional environment and to developing the practical skills necessary in an energy sector that is in a continuous process of modernization, digitalization and transformation.
