The Renault Romania group announced on Wednesday that the production activity from the plants in Mioveni will be interrupted, from Thursday, March 19, until April 5, in the context of the spread of COVID-19 virus globally.

“The company anticipates that the commercial activity will be resumed soon after the end of the health crisis. At this moment, appropriate measures will be implemented, in agreement with the social partners, which will allow the company to respond to the commercial demand,” said a statement quoted by Agerpres.

The statement writes that employees and business partners will be informed about the activities of Renault Groupe Romania and about the resumption of production through the company’s communication channels.
Aslo Ford Craiova has announced that it is temporarily halting production, following Ford Europe’s decision to suspend business at its main factories, starting March 19.
