Romania’s electricity exports grew by 27% in the first five months of this year, compared to the same period last year, after coupling the domestic market with the markets of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, it is shown in a statement of the National Authority for Energy Regulation (ANRE).

Thus, during January-May 2015, Romania exported 4.5 TWh of electricity, compared with 3.5 TWh in the first five months of 2014 and imported a quantity of 1.7 TWh compared to 1.35 TWh last year ranging from January to May, according to Agerpres.

The Iimport-export balance thus increased from 2.2 TWh to 2.8 TWh for export in the first five months of this year.
