Conso.ro provides the first online electricity comparator fro the households, thus supporting those end-consumers who want to compare their electricity supply products, according to a press release received by energynomics.ro.

Conso.ro will allow everyone, free of charge, with a single click, to see the total costs of their monthly invoice, as well as the differences between the offers from electricity suppliers, Alin Iacob, Managing Partner Conso.ro.

At the end of this year, the electricity market will be fully liberalized. Thus, every household consumer can choose his electricity supplier. “The times when the domestic consumer was a captive consumer, who had to use the services of a unique energy provider that served the area where he lived are on the verge of falling,” explained the representatives of the most used portal of comparisons and financial information for consumers in Romania.

Conso.ro “has decided to extend the scope of useful information made available to consumers in the financial area, where it continues to hold a leading position among the comparison sites, by entering in the utilities providers area. And the first step we make is this comparator that will allow consumers to choose the most appropriate offer”, it is also shown in the press release.

“As in the case of bank offers, when the various types of commissions can significantly increase the cost of a relatively low interest credit rate, also in the case of electricity, the offer that seems most advantageous may ultimately prove more expensive than others”, it is shown in the statement.

“The daily reservation fee generally cancels the advantage of a lower price for active electricity. That consumers should not be seduced by the advertiser’s messages, but analyze the offer as a whole and calculate the monthly cost of the invoice”, explained Alina Simion, Utilities Project Manager at Conso.ro.

According to the release, “an offer where the active energy price is 0,151 lei/kWh, plus a reservation fee of 0,15 lei/day, becomes more expensive than another, where the price of the active energy is 0,195 lei/kWh, but with no daily reservation fee”.

Conso.ro is the most widely used comparison and financial information portal for consumers in Romania. It is an independent inline platform, and the services provided by Conso.ro are free for consumers.
