Conpet’s net profit increased by 44.2% in the first half, to 31.18 million lei

The national carrier of oil and petroleum products Conpet obtained a net profit of 31.180 million lei in the first half of this year, higher by 9.554 million lei (44.2%) compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, when it was of 21.626 million lei, according to a report of the company submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

The operating profit realized on June 30, 2019, compared to the same period of the year 2018, registered an increase of 9.804 million lei (42.1%).

The company reported, in the first semester, a turnover of 200.6 million lei, increasing by 8.5% compared to the similar period of 2018. The transport revenues have a 98% share in the turnover, according to Agerpres.

During the analyzed period, the profit obtained from the transport activity on the two subsystems (country and import) increased, compared to the same period last year, by 6.8 million lei, from 23.97 million lei to 30.77 million lei, as a result of increased revenues from transportation. The profit margin on the country subsystem reaches the level of 9.4% decreasing by 1.1 percentage points compared to 6 months 2018 and 34.2% on the import subsystem, increasing by 11.1 p.p. The profit realized on the import subsystem during the first 6 months of 2019 increased by 8 million lei, mainly due to the 10.76 million lei increase in revenues from transport services.
