As of October 11, 2012, Melrose Resources Plc was acquired by Petroceltic International plc.
In Romania, Melrose holds operated interests in two exploration concessions awarded under the Romanian 10th Licensing Round in 2010, Block EX-27 Muridava and Block EX-28 Est Cobalcescu. Both exploration concessions are located in the shallow waters of the Romanian Black Sea. A firm three year exploration work programme, which commenced in 2012, for each block comprises seismic acquisition in Year 1, one well in Year 2 and two wells in Year 3."
