The Czech utility group CEZ will start the process of selling the assets in Romania in October.

CEZ Group launched a market test on the process of transferring assets from Romania on Monday. The interest confirmed in writing by the potential investors will be followed by an invitation to submit a non-binding offer. In Romania, CEZ aims to sell seven companies and keep those with activities in the field of modern energy services (ESCO) and trading. These steps are in line with the new strategy previously approved by the parent company.

CEZ has included seven Romanian companies in market testing (Distribuție Energie Oltenia, Ovidiu Development, Tomis Team, MW Team Invest, CEZ Vânzare, TMK Hydroenergy Power și CEZ România). Potential investors can express their interest both for the entire group of companies mentioned, and individually for any of the companies. Market interest testing is performed exclusively for CEZ a.s. by the investment bank Société Générale.

CEZ will begin the process of selling assets in Romania in October, but aims to finalize it in 2022, according to Agerpres.
