CE Hunedoara will provide system services to TSO of at least 400 MW

Hunedoara Energy Complex (CEH) will provide system technological services to the Transmission System Operator (TSO), at a value of electricity of at least 400 MW, until 31.12.2020, under the regulations issued by the ANRE, in order to maintain the safety level of the National Electric Power System, according to a draft Government Emergency Ordinance for the extension of the term of application of the measures provided by the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 26/2018 regarding the adoption of measures for the security of electricity supply, according to financialintelligence.ro.

Thus, the obligation for the Transmission and System Operator – the National Electricity Transmission Company “Transelectrica” – S.A. will be extended to establish the monthly capacity corresponding to the system technological services, representing a slow tertiary reserve, until 31.12.2020.

The Hunedoara Energy Complex Company is one of the economic operators in the portfolio of the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment. With an installed capacity of 1,225 MW, CEH is the largest producer of electricity in the northwest of Romania and, despite the particularly difficult financial situation, manages to continue to provide secure and stable system services to the transmission operator and system, according to the substantiation note of the project.
