Bulgargaz EAD, Transenergo şi WIIE România – the first winners of the auctions for Bulgarian transit

The companies Bulgargaz EAD, Transenergo and WIIE Romania SRL have won the capacity auction for the natural gas transit pipeline held by Transgaz for the allocation of capacities on the transit to Bulgaria and in two localities from Romania.

The three companies, one from Bulgaria and two from Romania, have won the tenders held on September 5th by Transgaz for the allocation of capacities at the Negru Vodă 1 – Bulgaria interconnection point, and at the gas supply points in Mangalia and Negru Vodă, according to information submitted by Transgaz at the request of HotNews.ro.

Romania is bound by the European legislation to permit access to third party companies, at the transit pipeline Isaccea-Negru Voda, which until now was reserved exclusively by Gazprom.

Bulgargaz is a Bulgarian state company, Transenergo is a Romanian energy and gas trader controlled by the Rada family and Nelu Coman. WIIE Romania is a company controlled by the Russians from Gazprom. Other tenders will take place on September 12th, according to an announcement published on the website of the Transgaz.
