BRUA: The first start of the STC Bibești compression unit

On Thursday, the first “hot” start of the A – STC Bibești compression unit took place, the last major investment objective that will be put into operation by Transgaz from the BRUA project, the inauguration event being planned for July 15.

The Bibeşti natural gas compression station is part, together with STC Jupa (inaugurated on September 30, 2019) and STC Podişor (inaugurated on October 31, 2019), of the BRUA Project – Phase 1, a project on the list of Projects of Common Interest of the European Union and which represents a total investment of 500 million euro, in the development of natural gas transmission infrastructure in Romania and Europe.

The role of compression stations in natural gas transmission systems is to ensure the delivery of contracted gas quantities during peak consumption periods, according to financialintelligence.ro.
