Autoklass authorized dealer for Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Honda, invested over 25,000 euro in equipping with charging stations for electric vehicles the seven locations it owns in Romania, according to company representatives. The stations are available at the Autoklass centers located in Bucharest, Ilfov, Constanța, Sibiu, Timișoara and Ploiești.

“With this investment we want to encourage the non-polluting policies, of reducing the CO2 emissions and to align with the international standards and practices, in which owning an electric car is a natural thing and very helpful and in no way a fad. And in our country we see this strongly increasing trend. If we look only at 2015, in Romania were sold in total about 165 cars that are 100% electric. Finally, increasing the number of owners of electric cars is closely linked to the existence of a charging infrastructure. We believe that 2016 is the year for this market – the policy for granting an eco-bonus to purchase an electric vehicle and the applications for hybrid or plug-in hybrid cars are other indications in this direction”, said Dragoș Furtună, Marketing Director at Autoklass Group.

The Autoklass charging stations, installed in partnership with E-Motion Electric, are equipped with Type-2 sockets of 22 kW and Schuko sockets of 3.6 kW, providing charging for all types of electrical vechicles currently available on the market. Charging an electric car varies between one hour (for a car connected via a Type 2 socket at a maximum power of 22 kW, with a battery of 22 kWh) and 4 hours (for a car Tesla Model S, with a battery of 85 kWh). The tariff is 10 lei for 400V (22kW), VAT included.
