ATMOCE, a global energy technology company, is strengthening its presence on the Romanian market through a strategic partnership with E.ON — a step that marks the expansion of collaboration between technology providers and utility operators in support of the energy transition. This partnership takes shape through the companies’ joint participation in the nZEB Expo 2025 trade fair, held on October 24–26 in Cluj-Napoca, where they will present integrated solutions for solar energy generation and storage designed for both residential and commercial users.
Strategic partnership for a decentralized energy future
The partnership between Atmoce and E.ON Energie Romania reflects a broader trend of cooperation between clean technology innovators and established energy market players, aiming to accelerate the adoption of decentralized systems. For Atmoce, it represents a new stage in its European expansion strategy, while E.ON continues to promote innovative solutions for consumers and prosumers, fostering greater energy autonomy and resource efficiency.
“We are delighted to be present at nZEB alongside E.ON, a partner with vision and strong experience in supporting the energy transition. Together we are bringing innovative and reliable technologies capable of transforming the way people manage their energy,” said Bob Tao, ATMOCE CEO for Eastern Europe.
Safe, efficient, and compatible with any system
Atmoce’s main innovation for the Romanian market is the M-ELV battery, a breakthrough with no equivalent currently available: the first three-phase AC-coupled battery with extra-low voltage (<30 V DC). Designed to be completely touch-safe and free from any risk of electric shock, the M-ELV offers a lifespan of up to 15 years and 10,000 charge/discharge cycles, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
A key advantage for end users is its full compatibility with any existing inverter, eliminating the need to purchase additional equipment. The system operates on both single-phase and three-phase grids, providing a flexible, easy-to-integrate solution for upgrading existing PV installations.

The full portfolio also includes MI-series microinverters, renowned for their high efficiency (97.4%) and extended 25-year warranty, along with M-Combiner and M-Backup units. These components ensure intelligent consumption monitoring and continuous power supply — with M-Backup enabling automatic switching in less than 10 milliseconds to protect essential equipment.
Through the Atmoce Cloud platform and the ATMOZEN app, users can monitor energy production and consumption in real time, adjust operational settings, and optimize usage patterns — all through an intuitive, Romanian-language interface.
A technological response to RePowerEU goals
Atmoce’s solutions are developed in line with the European Union’s RePowerEU objectives, particularly the i4a, i4b, and i7 sub-programs, which aim to support households and retrofit existing buildings with clean technologies
By integrating microinverters, and energy storage batteries for both new users and existing prosumers, the ATMOCE portfolio aligns directly with the program’s objectives.
For Romania, this technological compatibility has significant implications: it enables the rapid modernization of installed PV systems, reducing capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) costs, while enhancing resilience against grid fluctuations.
A cooperation model for energy independence
Through its partnership with E.ON Energie Romania, Atmoce aims to help create a local distributed energy ecosystem in which end users become active participants in the energy transition. The model emphasizes interoperability, digitalization, and economic sustainability — three essential pillars for achieving Romania’s Green Deal and European market integration goals.
By combining innovation, safety, and strategic collaboration, ATMOCE and E.ON propose a partnership model that redefines the relationship between the consumer, technology, and the grid — a tangible step toward energy independence for Romanian households and a low-carbon economy.
