ANRE wants to halve the OPCOM tariffs

“ANRE has monitored the activities of the operator of the electricity market. The monitoring of the final data analysis for the tariff of 2015 and the achievements of the first six months of 2016. The results of the analysis indicate an over regulated operator’s profit, due mainly considerably to a higher number of units traded from those projected and a growth of the number of participants payers composition administration in category ‘participants, except manufacturers’ Pi (installed capacity – no) less than or equal to 1 MW ” reads the explanatory note, according economica.net and Agerpres.

Therefore, in order to ensure the level of profit for 2016 the framing  of the regulated operator limitations in the methodology, including the correction of income realized by the operator of the electricity market in 2014 and 2015, ANRE proposed to amend the regulated tariff components.

Thus, the area of ​​managed centralized markets would fall from 12,700 lei / participant / year / market, at 5,500 lei / participant / year / market;

The component of making transactions on the centralized markets in which the operator of the electricity market is counterparty, will decrease from 0.12 lei / unit traded, at 0.05 lei / unit traded; the component of making transactions on the centralized markets where the operator of the electricity market is not counterparty, except the centralized market with continuous double negotiating contracts for electricity, will decrease from 0.03 lei / unit traded, at 0.02 lei / unit traded; the component of achieving market transactions with centralized bargaining  for continuous double electricity contracts, will be reduced from 0.08 lei / unit traded, at 0.03 lei / unit traded.

“The regulated tariff is applied to cover the costs of regulated activities of the operator of the electricity market on centralized markets for electricity (PZU, PI, PCCB-LE, PCCB-NC,PCSU, PMC, PC-OTC) and green certificates (PCCV , PCBCV), including the work on the account of the payment obligations / rights of collection for balancing market participants and balancing responsible parties. The regulated tariff is paid by the participants on the centralized direcly to the beneficiaries of the electricity market operator services, ‘ “reads the substantiation note.
