The final consumer is the target of the information campaign carried out by ANRE, and the main purpose is to educate and shape the consumption behavior, it is shown in a release of the National Regulatory Authority in the field of Energy.

“We appreciate the interest shown in the public space for the media campaign to educate and inform the final consumers of electricity and natural gas about their rights that ANRE will carry out this year. The start of the campaign was possible considering the provisions of the Ordinance Emergency No. 143 of 28.12.2021, which entered into force on 31.12.2021. We are convinced that the messages sent will be a real support for the approximately 9,000,000 customers in the electricity sector, respectively about 5,000,000 customers in the gas sector, given that it will be conducted through multiple channels, both through audiovisual media and online and social media,” the statement said.

The representatives of the authority show that this campaign is not the first tool used by ANRE in relation to the final consumers.

Also, starting with June 1, 2017, ANRE made available to final customers of electricity and natural gas, on its website, a price comparison tool, intended for all potential end customers who are interested in choosing or change their electricity or gas supplier. In 2019, the mobile application was launched, which allows access to the comparators of standard offers for the supply of electricity and natural gas, as well as to information in the field of energy. The app is free and available to anyone with access to the Google Play and Apple Store.

At the same time, the Authority is at the disposal of final customers with information on the liberalization of energy markets, the process of changing the supplier of electricity and natural gas, as well as the billing of electricity and natural gas, granted through “call-center” telephone lines, available from any network.
