A new order of the Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), recently published in the Official Gazette, introduces several new categories of taxes for operators in the sector, according to e-nergia.ro.

Thus, in the old order, ANRE charged a single fee, of 1,000 lei, for “confirming a closed distribution system” of electricity or natural gas.

In the new Order, in this regard, ANRE now charges four types of fees. One is for the “analysis of the documentation attached to the application for the confirmation of a closed distribution system” of electricity or gas, and is of 1,000 lei. The second is for “approving the decision to confirm a closed distribution system”, and is also of 1,000 lei. The third is for the “analysis of the documentation attached to the application for the modification of the decision to confirm a closed distribution system” and costs 125 lei. Finally, the fourth is for “modifying the decision to confirm a closed distribution system”, and it is also of 125 lei.

ANRE states that the fees are paid by the applicant prior to submitting the documentation and the money “is not returned to the applicant in case of withdrawal of the application, filing of the documentation, as well as failure to give notice of connection or refusal to confirm the closed distribution system.”
