Allengra Oradea, a company specialized in ultrasonic metrology for liquids and gases, is consolidating its position on international markets and preparing for a new investment cycle in 2026. After a year 2025 marked by intensive testing and technological validations, the company is ready to become the official supplier of flowmeters for Formula 1, based on a contract won following the tender organized by the FIA for the period 2026–2030, according to Transilvania Business.

“The projects required on the market focus on increasingly advanced specializations, and this requires adequate space and infrastructure to create cutting-edge technology,” explains Niels Junker, Co-CEO and Commercial Director of Allengra Oradea.

To support new investments, Allengra relies mainly on its own resources, complemented by banking instruments to ensure operational flexibility.

“For us, decision-making speed and flexibility are essential. That is why we rely mainly on reinvesting profits, along with bank credit lines,” says Niels Junker.

This approach allows the company to react quickly to market opportunities and maintain a constant pace of development.

In the current geopolitical context, the development of a solid energy infrastructure is seen as a strategic advantage for the economy and industry.

“Attracting global private investment must be based on clear legislative frameworks and well-defined expectations. The same applies to state investments in energy infrastructure,” says the CEO of Allengra Oradea.

He believes that a stable and own energy infrastructure can become a major competitiveness factor for local industry.

Allengra SRL specializes in ultrasonic metrology for liquids and gases, combining flow sensors with temperature, pressure and other advanced functionalities. The company’s solutions are used in industrial systems, heating systems (gas boilers, heat pumps), but also in cooling systems for data centers — a segment that is expanding rapidly, amid the growth of the artificial intelligence industry.

“We develop and produce 100% in Oradea, Romania,” points out Allengra’s Co-CEO.

Allengra’s involvement in Formula 1 began in 2020, and in 2024 the company won the FIA tender to supply fuel consumption flow meters for the 2026–2030 seasons.

“Our flow meters have been tested both on test stands, at high pressures and extreme temperatures, and on the track, mounted on single-seaters that reached speeds of over 340 km/h and were subjected to forces of over 16g (16 times the force of gravity) that activate the flow meter,” explains Niels Junker.

The tests were conducted at five official Formula 1 test events and were successfully completed, confirming Allengra’s ability to deliver high-precision solutions for one of the most demanding technological environments in the world.
