The route to the use of hydrogen must be followed in stages, and in order to reach large-scale projects, the first steps must be taken with small-scale projects, easy to implement and adapted to concrete situations.

“It is clear that we are moving faster than we can do as a country”, declared Sorin Ionescu, executive director of Aplind, at the conference “Hydrogen Project – what we have in Romania”, organized by Energynomics.

The company offers consulting and technical support services, pre-feasibility studies & project development, equipment delivery and “after-sales” services.

Among the company’s clients are Ambro, Chimcomplex or Vrancart, where Aplind has installed or is in the process of installing electrical and thermal energy generation units with a cumulative power of about 80 MW. These projects are made with Solar Turbines that run on gas and hydrogen.

According to Ionescu, the adoption of such a strategy of “small steps” ensures a quick implementation, including the advantage of obtaining an experience that will ensure success in the realization of large-capacity projects.

“We are trying to bring the know-how from the West to open the appetite for hydrogen projects because it is clear that there is some reluctance on the part of the industry”, said Ionescu.

The conference “Hydrogen Project – what we have in Romania” was organized by Energynomics with the support of our partners Aplind, Delgaz Grid, Horváth, Photomate and Transgaz.
