The ProCredit Group has granted a financing totalling €16.3 million for the construction of a solar park with an installed capacity of 34.2 MWp, located near Săliște, Sibiu County.

The project is being developed by Hyperion Soare Olt, part of the Hyperion Energy Investments SGPS S.A. group, an active player in the Iberian Peninsula markets with extensive experience in the development of greenfield solar projects. The investment does not stop here: the developer’s plans foresee a further expansion by another 4.08 MWp, signalling a clear intention to strengthen its presence on the Romanian market and actively contribute to the achievement of national renewable energy targets.

“We are pleased to support investments that directly contribute to the transition towards a sustainable economy”, said Ștefan Manole, CEO of ProCredit Bank Romania. “Supporting investments in renewable energy is an integral part of our lending strategy and our commitment to sustainable development,” he added.

The financing of this photovoltaic park comes in a favourable context for the development of renewable energies, with growing interest from investors and financial institutions for projects that offer long-term benefits: energy stability, independence from geopolitical volatilities and economic opportunities in new green industries.
