The Minister of Finance, Florin Cîţu, said that the Romanian economy will emerge from this crisis better than expected and will be much stronger, the solutions for the economic crisis being much easier to implement.

“Romania’s economy will emerge from this crisis better than we expect. I looked at what happened in the last month, I also look at how companies responded after I made that call to pay their taxes, if they have money in their account, and it is seen in April that taxes are being paid. I tell you that 90% of Romanian companies are SMEs. We saw during this period, with our help, that they are immediately reconverting to the current situation. We see companies that produce masks, companies produce biocides. Companies trying to produce medical fans. They have responded very well and that is why I say I trust the Romanian economy, I trust that after this period it will be a much stronger economy,” Florin Cîţu told Digi 24, according to Agerpres.

The Minister of Finance stressed that the revenue situation in April is above expectations, being slightly below last year’s level.
