VINCI Energies buys EnergoBit and strengthens its presence in Romania

    VINCI Energies, a global leader in energy services and information technology, has announced its intention to acquire the EnergoBit group of companies, a leading Romanian energy solutions provider, as part of its strategic expansion in Central and Eastern Europe.

    The EnergoBit Group founded in 1990 currently comprises three companies, EnergoBit, EnergoBit Control Systems and ELM Electromontaj Cluj, which together generated a consolidated turnover of 1o0 million euros in 2024. The Group employs 825 people, 270 of which are engineers, highlighting its strong technical expertise and operational capacity in the energy sector.

    The acquisition of the EnergoBit group marks a significant milestone in VINCI Energies’ commitment to support the energy transition and infrastructure modernization in Romania. EnergoBit Group is recognized for its performance in electrical engineering, manufacturing and energy systems integration, serving both public and private sector clients.

    The acquisition agreement between the founders of EnergoBit: Ștefan Gadola, Pál Péter, Ioan Socea and representatives of VINCI Energies was signed on July 16, 2025, in Bucharest. The transaction is expected to be finalized in November 2025, following its approval by the Competition Council. VINCI Energies is already active in Romania with a team of 1,500 specialists and achieved a turnover of more than 150 million euros in 2024.

    Florin Pop, the CEO of EnergoBit Group, along with the current management team, will continue in the same roles, and the founders will remain in leadership positions after the acquisition is completed to ensure an effective transition. “Our objective is to ensure the company’s continued development and long-term stability.
