Vestas sold three wind farms in Romania, for 136 million euro

Danish group Vestas, Europe’s largest producer of wind turbines, announced that it has reached an agreement to sell 80% of shares in subsidiaries that own the wind farms Pantelimon, Pegasus and Apollo in Romania to a buyer who did not want to to reveal its identity, informs a press release of the company, quoted by Agerpres and e-nergia.ro.

The sale price is of 136 million euro, and the completion of the transaction would take place in eight to ten weeks. Vestas stresses that the transaction depends on the fulfillment of certain conditions, including the approval of the Competition Council in Romania.

The wind farm Pantelimon has a total installed power of 150 MW. The Apollo wind farm has a power of 6MW and is located in Frumuşica village, Galaţi county.
