Starting tomorrow, GREEN ENERGY EXPO & ROMENVIROTEC, the most important event dedicated to sustainable communities, will take place at Romexpo until March 5. The event will bring together companies operating in four areas—green energy, waste, water, smart cities—as well as central and local authorities, specialists, relevant associations, and academia. The official opening will take place at 9:00 a.m., in the presence of central authorities, ambassadors from several countries that have national pavilions, and officials from the Republic of Moldova, with this year’s edition marking the collaboration between the two states in the field of sustainable development. More than 800 mayors, as well as public administrators and county council presidents, are also expected to attend.
The event is organized by Romexpo and Euroexpo Fairs, with institutional support from the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Forests, the Ministry of Energy, the Department for Sustainable Development, the Association of Municipalities in Romania, the National Union of County Councils in Romania, and the Association of Public Administrators in Romania.
For three days, the two pavilions and outdoor platforms become an applied workspace where technology providers, integrators, financiers, and end users can discuss projects, budgets, and implementation deadlines directly. The focus of the 2026 edition is on concrete solutions and their integration into communities – from large cities to medium-sized and small local administrations.

The City of the Future in Pavilion B1
The Living City Experience covers 11,000 square meters and functions as an integrated urban demo. The concept brings together solutions for renewable energy, energy efficiency, water infrastructure, waste management, smart lighting, and green urban design, presented in an applied context.
The area includes the Institutional Agora, dedicated to dialogue between administrations and companies, as well as Sustainability Boulevard, where technologies are presented in real-life scenarios: charging stations, traffic sensors, smart crosswalks, lighting systems, and solutions for public spaces. The concept is complemented by integrated landscaping, with 2,500 plants and shrubs, which supports the idea of balance between infrastructure and nature.
Exhibition and conferences in Pavilion B2
Pavilion B2 and the outdoor platforms are dedicated to renewable energy and environmental protection solutions: waste collection, sorting, and recycling; sanitation; recycling centers; drinking water and wastewater management.
The five thematic stages will host professional conferences and debates – from the International Environment Forum and Green Energy Summit to the Circular Economy Conference and the Conference of Mayors of Romania and the Republic of Moldova, focusing on implemented projects, financing, and best practices.
On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, starting at 10:30 a.m., we invite you to “Energynomics Day” for a full day of top-quality editorial formats designed for visibility, knowledge sharing, and relevant connections.
