The sustainability of old and new buildings, debated in Cluj

The most recent innovations, trends, concerns, practical, political and commercial challenges encountered in the field of sustainable buildings are covered in the second edition of The City of Green Buildings Conference, held Tuesday in Cluj-Napoca by The City of Green Buildings Association, according to a press release sent to energynomics.ro.

This year’s edition is based on challenges encountered when one desires the rehabilitation of existing buildings to meet the requirements for a sustainability certificate, say the organizers.

In the conference will be present, as speakers, people who are actively involved in green building world. Among them are: Serban Ţigănaş – President at Order of Architects in Romania; Frank Hajdinjak – CEO at E.ON Romania; Bogdan Lupu – Manager at Philips Lighting University EEC; Dorin BEU, Phd. – President at Romanian National Lighting Committee; Andrei Ceclan, Phd. – Technical University of Cluj-Napoca; Călin Ciugudeanu – Technical University of Cluj-Napoca; Anamaria Stroia – Environmental Expert; Horațiu Bașa -General Manager at TESTO Romania and Remus Marusciac – Architect and International BREEAM assessor.

Among the organizational partners and event sponsors are: The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Association of Students of the Faculty of Installations in Cluj-Napoca, Students League from Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Construction Students’ Association of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romanian Green Building Council, namely E.ON Romania and PHILIPS Romania.
